Mijas - Approx 20 minutes by car (30-40 minutes by bus). A beautiful picturesque village set up into the mountains overlooking the Mediterranean Sean. Easy to get to if you have a car; to take the bus you will have to take the bus to Fuengirola then change to Mijas.

Granada & Sierra Nevada - The Alhambra Palace at Granada is stunning and the town itself is busy but interesting. Sierra Nevada is a ski resort which has breath taking views. This is approx 2-3 hours drive from La Cala.

Gibralter - This is about 1 hour drive towards Marbella on the toll road. The Rock with the Monkeys is quite good to see. If you go - take English currency.

Selwo - Approx 30 minutes by bus. This is the new safari park at Estepona. We recently visited and were very impressed. The animals have lots of freedom and it is very well organised.

Puerto Banus - Approx 30 minutes by car or 45 minutes by bus. See the rich and famous - how the other half live. Yachts to die for. Designer shops where you can look but can't buy unless you have won the lottery!

Aqua Park & Fuengirola Zoo - Easy to get to by bus.

There is an ENGLISH speaking chemist in the village; on the top road, if you require any medical help.
